  Branches church has an extremely low-key, unpretentious, and laid-back atmosphere. My wife calls it a "surfer church." That said there a people from all walks of life who attend with a strong contingent of young families.
  
  The message is solid, but not pushy. I really enjoy the main pastor's delivery which often includes storytelling, historical context, and an explanation of the actual scripture language used. That may be my favorite part boiling down ancient teachings to terms that are easy to understand.
  
  Should you decide to get more involved, there are many different ongoing service opportunities. They actually will support you if there is a cause you care about and want to start your own service initiative for others to plug into.
  
  Last, if you have kids, there a two different rooms to drop them off to do crafts and activities that vary by their age.
  
  Branches is a good group people up to great things. Definitely worth checking out if you are on a "church search."

  If you are looking for a community of people that are genuinely seeking to bring about peace not just in their own lives, but in the community as well, then Branches is a place you'll want to visit.
  
  Our family found that the community at Branches is great at welcoming people from any walk of life. There is very little pretense here. If you're looking for a country club type of church, then this probably isn't the right fit for your needs. Things at Branches are pretty raw and honest and that seems to be the very thing that is healing this community and drawing others in.
  
  This community is hungry for love, truth, and peace in the name of Jesus. So if you find yourself walking through the Dana Point Harbor on a Sunday morning, or if you're looking for a place to find a sense of belonging and purpose, then come visit Branches.

  I moved to California for school and found myself feeling like a stranger in strange lands.  The folks at Branches were nothing but kind to me.  The community is very inclusive and participatory, and within a few weeks I was asked to share my skills as a musician and help the kids in worship.  Once I started hanging with the kids, I was really hooked!  I feel as though I was the one being ministered to.  The community poured back into me such positivity and rejuvenating love.  If that's not your thing, they also have donuts and coffee!

  Branches is filled with sincere and transparent people. There is a genuine desire to seek God and to grow in their commitment to follow Jesus. Not everyone at Branches has made that decision, but it is clear that is where they are headed. They are honestly trying. Can you really ask for anything more? I recommend to anyone to come and see. We hope you find what God wants you to see about Him, yourself, and others.
